Oladipo was traded Thursday along with Ersan Ilyasova and the draft rights to No. 11 overall pick Domantas Sabonis to the Thunder in exchange for Serge Ibaka, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.Oladipo is the headliner of the Thunder’s three-player haul, as the former No. 2 overall pick provides the team with a scoring combo guard who is capable on the defensive end. Russell Westbrook’s presence at the point guard spots ensures that Oladipo will spend most of his time off the ball, but he could immediately become the Thunder’s secondary scoring option if unrestricted free agent Kevin Durant heads elsewhere this offseason. At the very least, Oladipo’s acquisition appears to signal that the Thunder aren’t looking to retain restricted free agent Dion Waiters, leaving an opening for Oladipo to step in as the team’s sixth man or starting shooting guard. Oladipo averaged 16.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.6 steals in 33.0 minutes per game with the Magic last season.

Oladipo (concussion) says he’s feeling better, but will sit out Wednesday’s regular-season finale against the Hornets Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel reports.While it’s encouraging to hear that Oladipo is making progress in his recovery from the concussion, it’s still his second such head injury in five months, which prompted the Magic to exercise caution and hold him out for the finale. In addition, Oladipo said his left eye is still hurting a bit after he suffered a facial laceration on that side of his face following a collision with the Heat’s Hassan Whiteside last Friday. The combo guard should see his concussion symptoms fade in the next several days, but he’ll wrap up a rather disappointing third season, as he plateaued or regressed in just about every category compared to 2014-15. Nonetheless, Oladipo still was quite a useful fantasy asset for his owners, finishing with averages of 16 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.6 steals across 33 minutes while shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 83 percent from the free-throw line in 72 appearances.
