July 14, 2016
The Hawks recently guaranteed Scott’s $3.33 million contract for the 2016-17 season, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The team had until July 9 to waive Scott if it didn’t want to be on the hook for his contract, but at that price, the 6-foot-8 forward looks like a bargain with the salary cap rising earlier this month. Scott, who will hit free agency next summer, averaged 6.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 15.3 minutes per game over 73 appearances in 2015-16, and figures to see similar court time during the upcoming campaign.
April 27, 2016
Scott recorded 17 points (7-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, and one steal across 22 minutes during the Hawks’ 110-83 Game 5 win over the Celtics on Tuesday.Scott was sensational in an easy win for the Hawks, leading the team in scoring while providing his second double-digit point total of the first round. While most reserves see less minutes come playoff time, Scott is averaging over four minutes more in this series than he did during the regular season. Through five games against the Celtics, Scott is averaging 9.4 points (on 59.4% shooting from the field), 4.2 rebounds, and 1.2 three-pointers in 19.6 minutes.
April 14, 2016
Scott had 10 points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, and one assist in 17 minutes during the Hawks’ 109-98 loss to the Wizards on Wednesday.Scott finished the regular season with averages of 6.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and one assist in 15 minutes through 75 appearances. He is a decent bench scorer with three-point range, but Scott is merely a fringe fantasy option in daily leagues during the playoffs.

Scott (personal) is back with the team and will be available Saturday against the Grizzlies, Chris Vivlamore of the Journal Constitution reports.Scott was absent from Thursday’s game while awaiting the birth of his child, but he rejoined the team Saturday and will be an option for coach Mike Budenholzer off the bench. Scott has seen his production tail off a bit over the last month, as he closed February shooting just 41.9 percent after firing at a 47.7 percent clip in January and 58.3 percent in December.
