April 11, 2016
Monroe scored a game-high 23 points (9-15 FG, 5-6 FT) with seven rebounds and three steals over 27 minutes in Monday’s 107-98 loss to the Magic. It’s been a season Monroe will likely want to forget, though he was the only Buck that really showed up Monday. He got some rest Sunday before returning to the starting lineup and got the best of a depleted Orlando front court. Pending a huge performance in the Bucks’ season finale, Monroe will finish 2015-16 with his lowest rebound average since his rookie season. A change of scenery might be just what Monroe needs this offseason.
April 11, 2016
Monroe is back in the starting lineup Monday after sitting out Sunday’s game to rest, CF Gardner of the Journal Sentinel reports.Monroe got the night off Sunday as the Bucks took down the 76ers in overtime, but he’ll return on the second night of the back-to-back set. Monroe will start at center, and he’ll be joined by Jabari Parker, Khris Middleton, Rashad Vaughn and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
April 10, 2016
Monroe will sit out Sunday’s game against the Sixers for rest, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The Bucks have nothing left to play for at this stage of the season, as they’ve long been eliminated from the playoffs. As a result, coach Jason Kidd will give Monroe the night off to reduce the late season strain on his body. Miles Plumlee is expected to move into the starting lineup in his place and should see an increase in minutes, while John Henson is also a candidate to see extensive playing time. Monroe will likely be back in the lineup for Monday’s game against the Magic.
March 27, 2016
Monroe posted 12 points (3-7 FG, 6-8 FT), six rebounds and an assist over 23 minutes in Saturday’s 115-91 loss to the Hornets.Monroe continues to offer generally solid production over his modest playing time, having tallied double-digit scoring efforts in eight of the last 11 games. However, his minutes have only climbed above 30 once during that span, as coach Jason Kidd continues to give Miles Plumlee solid minutes off the bench. Monroe can still serve as a decent source of points and rebounds as the season winds down, but is subject to occasional clunkers due to his abbreviated opportunity on most nights.
March 22, 2016
Monroe scored 18 points (9-15 FG) and added 10 rebounds, two steals, two blocks, and one assist in 34 minutes during the Bucks’ 92-91 loss to the Pistons on Monday.Monroe managed his 32nd double-double of the season on Monday, and he contributed across multiple categories. Monroe is not the main man in Milwaukee, but he is still a solid start in most leagues.

Monroe (knee) participated in portions of Friday’s shootaround, Diamond Leung of Bay Area News Group reports.Monroe is expected to miss 7-to-10 days, so it’s very encouraging to see that he’s already participating in portions of the Bucks’ shootaround. If all goes well, he’ll miss just the next game or two, which should give Monroe the opportunity to return for a matchup with the 76ers on Dec. 23. Considering he’s already participating in portions of shootaround, he could be cleared even sooner. Until he moves back into the lineup, look for John Henson and Miles Plumlee to soak up the extra minutes at center.
