Johnson agrees to a one-year, $4 million deal with the Miami Heat, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.Johnson posted some minutes with the Raptors last season, but was not a consistent scoring threat on a team that reached the Eastern Conference Finals. He played in 57 games, including 32 starts and scored 5.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 16.2 minutes per game a season ago.
May 18, 2016
Johnson totaled 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 20 minutes during the Raptors’ 115-84 loss to the Cavaliers in Tuesday’s Game 1.Johnson had only played a combined 15 minutes through four playoff appearances entering Tuesday, and given that the game became a blowout early on, it’s tough to say whether Johnson might see more involvement in this series. Even if Johnson ends up seeing more regular duty in the rotation, he typically doesn’t see many touches on offense and can’t be counted on to deliver helpful fantasy production.
May 4, 2016
Johnson (coach’s decision) didn’t play in Tuesday’s 102-96 overtime loss to the Heat in Game 1 of the series.Johnson only made one appearance during the Raptors’ seven-game first-round series with the Pacers, so it’s safe to say that he’s no longer a part of the rotation. With DeMarre Carroll healthy after missing most of the season while recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, there’s not much of a need for coach Dwane Casey to turn to Johnson for minutes on the wing.

Johnson will be rested for Wednesday’s regular season finale against the Nets.Johnson will join several other Raptors regulars in resting Wednesday, though he may be dealing with a minor injury or two, as well. Coach Dwane Casey noted Tuesday that Johnson was “banged up,” but he stopped short of offering any further details. Regardless, with at least two more days off before the Raptors begin postseason play, Johnson figures to be available for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

His return to practice indicates he has had the necessary time off to rest, and should be considered on the more probable side of questionable heading into Friday’s matchup versus the Bulls. • Hamstring
Date: Feb 6, 2015
Status: OUT
Johnson (hamstring) is expected to be available Friday night against the Clippers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN 1050 reports.Johnson playing isn’t set in stone, both because the decision to play could still rest on how he feels immediately before game time, and that he could need to be eased back in.
