According to the Boston Globe, the Patriots have locked up nose tackle Ron Brace with four-year contract worth $2.82 million in guaranteed money.

Rookie defensive lineman Ron Brace (Boston College) has been working on improving his technique during minicamp with the Patriots, according to the Boston Globe. He said, "At this level, it is all technique. The best players are the ones who are solid in that, so what we need to do to become better players is work on our technique every day and figure out what our flaws are."

RotoTimes.com: The Patriots have high expectations for Brace, and he will likely be trained to play at both nose tackle and defensive end. Brace will work in a rotation as a rookie, and could be the future replacement for Vince Wilfork.

The New England Patriots selected Boston College defensive tackle Ron Brace in the second round with the 40th overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft.

RotoTimes.com: At Boston College, Brace was overshawdowed by teammate B.J. Raji, but he's a sound run stuffer, who can occupy more than one offensive lineman. He could also be the eventual successor to Vince Wilfork at nose tackle.

The Tennessean believes that Ron Brace (Boston College) could help replace Albert Haynesworth at defensive tackle following his departure to Washington.

RotoTimes.com: Brace may not be an imposing pass rusher like the elite Haynesworth, but Brace has the size (6-3, 330 pounds) to take up space and serve as a solid run-stuffer. The Titans could consider him at pick No. 30 in the first round of the draft.
