According to the Tampa Tribune, the Bucs are slated to host free agent safety Sean Jones on Thursday.

Defensive back Sean Jones could be the Eagles' starting free safety in 2009, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

RotoTimes.com: Jones was slowed by injuries in 2008 (he played in only 12 games for the Browns), but as the article points out, he is one of only three NFL safeties with more than 14 interceptions over the last three seasons. He has tough competition for the spot (Quintin Demps and Rashad Baker), but he would be a solid choice at FS in IDP leagues were he to win it.

Sean Jones has inked a one-year deal with the Eagles, according to the Associated Press. Financial terms were not disclosed.

RotoTimes.com: The hard-hitting safety fills a major need for the Eagles after losing Brian Dawkins (Denver) and Sean Considine (Jacksonville).

Safety Sean Jones has made a free-agent visit to Philadelphia, according to PhiladelphiaEagles.com.

RotoTimes.com: Philly has a hole in their secondary where Brian Dawkins used to play, and Jones is a very solid player. He picked off four passes last season, and has 14 over his last three campaigns.
