Steelers owner Art Rooney said on Tuesday that the team won't likely know if Ben Roethlisberger's suspension will be reduced until the end of training camp, according to Alan Robinson of the Associated Press.

RotoTimes.com: There's still a chance that Big Ben's suspension could be reduced from six games to four if he stays out of trouble and follows the guidelines given to him by Roger Goodell. It's likely that his suspension will be shortened, but apparently that decision won't come until late in camp.

According to ESPN, the Steelers have signed head coach Mike Tomlin to a three-year contract extension.

RotoTimes.com: Although Pittsburgh missed the playoffs in 2009, you could say a team that has had just three head coaches since 1969 values continuity. Tomlin has one of the longest leashes in all of sports.

Ben Roethlisberger looked to be in good shape at Pittsburgh's OTAs on Tuesday, according to SteelCityInsider.com's Jim Wexell.

RotoTimes.com: He looked a bit rusty on his throws, though that's certainly expected after all the time off. Roethlisberger will spend some of his time this offseason helping to ease Byron Leftwich and Dennis Dixon into their roles, as one of them will be starting until Roethlisberger is back from suspension.

Ben Roethlisberger will indeed join the Steelers on Tuesday to participate in the team's OTAs for the first time this offseason, according to Pro Football Talk.

RotoTimes.com: Big Ben just recently received clearance from the NFL to return to action in the Steelers' team activities. He's still suspended for the first six games, and while that could potentially be reduced by a game or two, Byron Leftwich is expected to open the season as the starter.

Beginning next week, embattled Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will again be allowed to participate in team activities, according to league spokesman Greg Aiello.

RotoTimes.com: He will be allowed to practice with the team from now until Week 1 of the regular season, when his six-game suspension will take effect. As previously reported, his ban has a chance of being reduced to four games.
