Reuters reports that Tony Romo won a playoff round on Thursday to advance to sectional qualifying for next month's U.S. Open. The tournament will be played from June 17-20.

RotoTimes.com: The next step is a 36-hole day on June 7. While it is impressive that Romo has such an elite game, it has fantasy owners and Cowboys fans wondering if he should be paying a little more attention to his full-time job.

Updating an earlier item, the Cowboys have picked up head coach Wade Phillips' 2010 option, but only extended him through 2011, not 2012 as was earlier reported, according to ESPN.

RotoTimes.com: Turns out Adam Schefter actually got a minor detail wrong for once. This certainly makes next year a "huge season or bust" one for Phillips. If he goes bust, many, including possibly Bill Cowher, will likely be waiting in the wings.

The Dallas Cowboys have picked up head coach Wade Phillips' 2010 option, and extended his contract through 2012, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

RotoTimes.com: Although Phillips' team got embarrassed in the Divisional round of the playoffs by the Vikings last weekend, he did manage to deliver the team's first playoff victory since 1996 this season. That was apparently reason enough for Jerry Jones to keep him aboard.

Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips will be back in 2010, and for perhaps longer, according to ESPN.

RotoTimes.com: Owner Jerry Jones has reportedly said he wants him to be the team's head coach in 2011, as well. However, unless the Cowboys take another giant step forward next year, 2010 may very well end up being Phillips' final season in Big D.

The Cowboys have picked up Wade Phillips' option to be their head coach in 2010, according to NFL.com.

RotoTimes.com: Phillips will continue to be evaluated on a year-to-year basis, though it looks like Dallas' hot finish in the regular season and first-round playoff win over the Eagles were enough to convince Jerry Jones and company to bring Phillips back.
