According to Rick Maese of the Washington Post, the Redskins continue to insist they are not trying to trade defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth.

RotoTimes.com: Of course, their official stance is believed to vary greatly from what is going on behind the scenes. Tennessee remains the favorites for Haynesworth's services should he indeed be moved.

The Redskins and Titans are discussing a possible trade involving Albert Haynesworth, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

RotoTimes.com: No deal is imminent, but it'd certainly make sense for both Washington and Haynesworth to part ways. We'll have to wait and see if any agreement is struck.

"A disappointing performance by Albert Haynesworth in the Redskins' preseason finale has renewed concerns about the Pro Bowler's commitment to the team and apparently has affected his status for the regular-season opener against Dallas," according to the Washington Post. Citing two sources, the paper says Haynesworth was "awful Thursday during the Cardinals' 20-10 victory at University of Phoenix Stadium," and that when he did actually play well he "failed to adhere to the principles of the new 3-4 scheme."

RotoTimes.com: What a disaster. At this point, Washington simply has to swallow its pride and cut its losses. Since that would be the right thing to do, however, don't expect owner Daniel Snyder to do it.

According to the Washington Post, Albert Haynesworth will play in the Redskins' final preseason game on Thursday evening.

RotoTimes.com: Normally, veterans and first stringers sit out the fourth game of the preseason, but seeing as Haynesworth has barely played this summer and is currently running with the second stringers, he could be on the field for up to an entire half this evening.

Despite his return to Redskins practice this week, mercurial defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth will not start the club's third preseason game this Friday against the Jets, according to the Washington Post.

RotoTimes.com: The Redskins continue to treat their $100 million man like a reserve. There remains no end in sight to either side's petulance.
