Drew Brees has been chosen in a fan vote to be featured in the next installment of the popular EA Sports Madden NFL video game, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

RotoTimes.com: The Madden Curse is well known throughout the sports nation. Last year, Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu were co-featured on the cover, and Polamalu's season was derailed by injury. We wouldn't put any weight into the curse and certainly wouldn't dock Brees' fantasy value for it, though the more superstitious of owners may be hesitant to draft him.

Drew Brees was stellar in the Saints' 31-17 Super Bowl win over Indianapolis, going 32-of-39 for 288 yards with two touchdowns.

RotoTimes.com: The Saints were a bit sluggish in the first half but could not be stopped in the second, and not surprisingly, Brees was a major reason why. The Super Bowl win cements Brees as one of the truly elite quarterbacks in the NFL and could lay the foundation for an eventual Hall of Fame induction.

According to ESPN.com, the Saints plan to give quarterback Drew Brees a contract extension this offseason.

RotoTimes.com: Brees almost got a deal last year, but the Saints passed. Now after back-to-back MVP caliber seasons and a Super Bowl appearance they don't have much choice but to lock him up. He was just the 17th-highest paid QB last year, so he should get a significant raise with his extension. Expect Bress to get some well deserved big money, along with fellow free agents Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

According to Pro Football Talk, a civil court case in the Parish of Orleans, Louisiana has been postponed so that many involved in the trial, including lawyers and jurors, can travel to the "promised land," also known as the Super Bowl on February 7.

RotoTimes.com: "This matter is presently set for a jury trial on Monday, February 1, 2010. Considering the historic victory of the New Orleans Saints, the Court finds that the trial will not be able to proceed as originally scheduled. The Court takes judicial notice that Saintsmania permeates the city of New Orleans," the court document read. "Many prospective jurors for the Parish of Orleans, several attorneys involved in this litigation and Court personnel plan on traveling to the promised land -- the Super Bowl in Miami, Florida. The Court recognizes that this pilgrimage enhances the chances of the Who Dat Nation to acquire the long sought after Holy Grail - the Vince Lombardi trophy." You've heard it before, and you'll hear it again - sports rule this country.

President Barack Obama says he will be rooting for the Saints in next month's Super Bowl, according to Politico.com.

RotoTimes.com: Like many, he thinks the city of New Orleans earning a Super Bowl championship just four years after Hurricane Katrina would be a neat story. That being said, after the Saints' mostly mediocre defensive performance against Brett Favre and the Vikings in the NFC Championship game, they are going to need all the help they can get against Hurricane Manning.
