Fred Taylor rushed 11 times for 54 yards and a touchdown in Atlanta's 28-10 preseason win over Atlanta.

RotoTimes.com: Taylor started the game at running back for the Pats and made it look like a smart decision. He helped New England break five Falcons tackles on their first drive before capping it off with a 28-yard TD run. Expect him to be the lead horse in backfield-by-committee.

Fred Taylor wasn't active on Thursday night for the Patriots, according to ESPN. Taylor was told beforehand that he wouldn't be dressed for the game as the Pats have decided to rotate runners throughout the preseason.

RotoTimes.com: Depending on who you listen to, Taylor could be on his way to touching the ball eight to 15 times a game this season. We're expecting his workload to be closer to the lower end estimate making him nothing more than a RB5 type on draft day.

Fred Taylor was the Patriots first-team running back Monday, according to the Boston Herald.

RotoTimes.com: This comes after reports that Taylor wasn't a lock to make the roster. For now, he's ahead of Sammy Morris who is backed up by Laurence Maroney. Maroney has apparently fallen down the depth chart for unknown reasons, and the entire backfield looks to be in for a season of shared carries.

Fred Taylor is not considered a lock to make the Patriots' final roster, according to the Boston Globe.

RotoTimes.com: As a 34-year-old running back, this should not come as too much of a surprise. Still, he'll be given a shot a carve out a role for himself, so we'll have to see if he's able to take advantage.

Fred Taylor only had seven carries for 33 yards, but two of them resulted in touchdowns in the Week 17 loss at Houston.

RotoTimes.com: Taylor looked like he was going to take off early in the season with two touchdowns in the first three weeks, but then proceeded to miss 10-straight games due to an ankle injury. The two touchdowns doubled his output on the year, but it's unlikely he helped any fantasy owners this week.
