Rajon Rondo, GTuesday 8/24, 1:15 PM CT
Rajon Rondo was an unexpected cut from Team U.S.A.'s roster on Tuesday, according to Pete Thamel of the New York Times.

RotoTimes.com: A bizarre, bizarre move considering that besides maybe Chris Paul and Deron Williams, Rondo is the best point guard the United States of America has to offer. A selfless player, he would have been great on a team full of egos.
Paul Pierce, GSaturday 8/21, 7:59 AM CT
According to CSN Philly, Celtics forward Paul Pierce would like to finish his playing career in Europe. "As far as retiring from the NBA, I think I will be done after this contract because eventually I want to go overseas and play and live for a couple of years," he said. "That's why this is a big contract for me, knowing I'm going to retire a Boston Celtic. I want to go to either Italy or Greece for a year. I think I want to be able to bring my family over to just kind of share a different experience overseas for a couple of years, before I settle into retirement."

RotoTimes.com: A very interesting idea from Pierce. It sounds roughly similar to a European soccer coming to America to finish their career. His current Celtics deal will go for the next three seasons, with an option for a fourth.
Rajon Rondo, GSaturday 8/14, 5:18 PM CT
Rajon Rondo doesn't see any reason to worry about adding Shaquille O'Neal to the roster, according to the Boston Globe.

RotoTimes.com: Rondo doesn't buy into the belief that Shaq will clog the paint for the Celtics. He cited Kendrick Perkins's success as an example of how Shaq can help this team, while acknowledging that the two are different players. He added that his assist numbers could spike with Shaq's high-percentage field goal numbers.
