The Celtics are in discussion with the Bobcats regarding a potential trade that would send Glen Davis to Charlotte in exchange for D.J. Augustin, according to ESPN.com.

RotoTimes.com: Such a trade would seem to make some sense. Both are talented young players who could be potential starters down the road, though Davis has had a few off-the-court incidences that have soured his tenure in Boston, while Augustin has had trouble carving out a role for himself in Charlotte. Both could benefit in new uniforms, though it's unlikely either would start this season.

Updating an earlier report, Glen Davis has been dealt a $25,000 fine by the NBA for his inappropriate comments directed towards a fan of the Pistons during Wednesday's game at The Palace of Auburn Hills, according to the Associated Press.

RotoTimes.com: Davis will be lighter in the pocketbook, but does not look to be suspended for the incident.

Glen Davis is in hot water after obscenities he shouted at a heckler in Detroit on Wednesday were audible on both T.V. and the radio, according to ESPN.

RotoTimes.com: The "jeering" fan sitting behind Boston's bench reportedly kept calling Davis "fat boy." This reaffirms what we learned in 2004 about Detroit fans, that being that they always keep it classy. While Detroit's finest were surely not being nice, Davis should have known better, and is now facing a probable fine or one-game suspension from the league. Stay tuned.
