Carmelo Anthony is expected to sign the Nuggets' three-year, $65 million offer on a contract extension, according to the Denver Post.

RotoTimes.com: There's no timetable for when Carmelo will sign the deal, but it sounds like it will probably come in the next few weeks. Anthony would be due to become a free agent next summer if he doesn't sign the extension, but it sounds like it'll be another few years before he hits the open market.

"There is no way we are trading Carmelo Anthony," a Nuggets official said. "We're 100 percent certain of that," according to ESPN.

RotoTimes.com: Anthony can opt out of his contract after next season and become a free agent, but according to an unnamed team official, he's going to play for Denver this season, like it or not. Of course, it looks very likely that Melo will sign the extension, a three-year, $65 million offer.

Carmelo Anthony is seriously considering the Nuggets' three-year, $65 million extension that they've offered, according to the Denver Post.

RotoTimes.com: He is, however, waiting things out to see if Denver can acquire another viable big man this summer. Nene Hilario and Kenyon Martin are both solid, though neither is a star, and both are prone to injury. It could take one more member of the frontcourt to get Denver over the hump as a true title contender.
