LeBron James Player Profile

A native of Akron, Ohio, LeBron James is a star forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was touted while playing high school basketball at St. Vincent – St. Mary High School in Akron, before being selected first overall in the 2003 NBA draft by the Cavs.

LeBron James Awards

LeBron James’ NBA Awards include the NBA Rookie of the Year, All-NBA and All-Star. He was also selected as a McDonald’s All-American during his high school career, winning the MVP Award for that game against the nation’s top high school senior basketball players.

He owns two Olympic medals for participating on the USA men’s basketball team, including a bronze medal from the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece, and a gold medal from the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.

In a July interview with GQ Magazine, LeBron James states that his elbow is still not 100 percent healed according to the Miami Sun Sentinel.

LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Carmelo Anthony were amongst a group of players that met with the players union and the NBA on Thursday, according to the Denver Post.

RotoTimes.com: In all, 14 players attended the meeting that was intended to help bridge the gap between the two sides. The current collective bargaining agreement expires on June 30, 2011, so the two sides still have time to work out something.
