As expected, the Bucks have re-signed John Salmons to a five-year, $39 million deal, according to ESPN's Chad Ford.

RotoTimes.com: Salmons struggled with the Bulls last season but fit in very well with the Bucks when he was dealt with 30 games left in the season, upping his scoring average by seven points to 19.9 and putting up better numbers across the board. He should continue to thrive with Brandon Jennings at point guard and Andrew Bogut down low.

The Bucks are on the verge of re-signing John Salmons to a five-year, $39 million deal, according to David Aldridge of NBA.com.

RotoTimes.com: Salmons is widely considered one of the top shooting guards available in free agency, so the move makes sense for Milwaukee which signed Drew Gooden earlier Thursday. He was thought to be on the move after opting out of his contract last month, but keeping him home could put a bow an active offseason for the Bucks.

The Bucks want to lock-up guard John Salmons this summer, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. In 30 games with Milwaukee in 2009-10, he averaged 19.9 points per game.

RotoTimes.com: He has a $5.8 million option for 2010-11 remaining on his deal, but most believe he will opt out and seek a new contract. The Bucks sound willing to pay him around $9 million a season, likely enough to get the job done. Stay tuned.
