Yao Ming has been recovering nicely from his two surgeries on his fractured left foot and continues to be on schedule, according to the Houston Chronicle.

RotoTimes.com: Unfortunately, "on schedule" for Yao means that he'll be back healthy and ready to play by next year. The chances of him playing this season are still next to zero, although reports like these are certainly encouraging for keeper league owners.

Yao Ming underwent two successful surgeries on his fractured left foot on Tuesday, according to the Houston Chronicle.

RotoTimes.com: One repaired the hairline fracture in the foot, and another attempted to realign the bones in the foot "in an effort to prevent the recurrence of the injury." The Rockets have not officially said how long they expect Yao to be out, only that he is planning on participating in training camp in October 2010. It should be a long season for the team in 2009-10.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Yao Ming will undergo surgery on his fractured left foot next week, and will likely miss the entire 2009-10 NBA season.

RotoTimes.com: Yao's surgery will include a bone graft and realignment in his left foot, but it should alleviate some of the stress in the area (which is what likely caused the hairline fractures he has been plagued with the last two seasons). There is currently no timetable for his return, but since the team was granted a "disabled player exception", all signs point to him missing the entire season. Retirement isn't out of the question, but seems unlikely at this point as the surgery is being performed to prevent future injury.
