Eric Young is not in the Rockies' Friday evening lineup, according to MLB.com's Thomas Harding.

RotoTimes.com: Jonathan Herrera will get the start at second. Look for Young to be back in the lineup on Saturday.
August 25, 2010
Eric Young is batting leadoff and playing second base on Wednesday, according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post.

RotoTimes.com: As he should do most days going forward barring a huge slump. Fifty three games into his major league career, Young has to show Colorado something this month if he wants to remain a serious part of their future plans.
August 24, 2010
According to the Denver Post, "the Rockies are going to give Eric Young Jr. the bulk of playing time at second base" going forward.

RotoTimes.com: Clint Barmes has been benched. Obviously the right move for a team trying to find out once and for all what it has in the dynamic but inconsistent Young.
August 16, 2010
Troy Renck of the Denver Post is reporting that Eric Young is expected to stay with the big club when Jhoulys Chaucin is recalled to start against the Dodgers Tuesday.

RotoTimes.com: Young tweeted that he traveled with the team to California, so he's likely safe to stay up. Renck speculates that the odd man out could be Brad Hawpe or Jason Giambi. Giambi hasn't played in a week, and Hawpe has a pre-existing rib injury. Still, Young will struggle to make an impact unless Clint Barmes is dealt.
August 16, 2010
According to the Denver Post, the Rockies appear prepared to give Eric Young a long look in left field and in the leadoff spot.

RotoTimes.com: This would make him worth an immediate add in all NL-only leagues. In 41 at-bats this season, he is hitting .244 with five stolen bases.
