July 22, 2010 Making his second start of 2010, Edinson Volquez was much less effective than he was in his first, allowing five hits, six runs and four walks in just 2.1 innings of work. July 17, 2010 Edinson Volquez was scintillating in his first start back from the 60-day DL fanning nine and giving up just three hits and one run as the Reds beat Colorado 8-1 on Saturday. RotoTimes.com: Pretty darn nice way to make your first start of 2010. The Rockies have been hitting the ball pretty well, but Volquez shut them down. He was hitting 97 miles per hour consistently in rehab duty, and it translated well to the Majors giving him a 1-0 record. |
