Making his second start of 2010, Edinson Volquez was much less effective than he was in his first, allowing five hits, six runs and four walks in just 2.1 innings of work. He struck out four in Cincinnati's 7-1 loss to the Nationals.

RotoTimes.com: Maybe you didn't get the waiver wire steal of the year after all. He'll get the Brewers his next time out.

Edinson Volquez was scintillating in his first start back from the 60-day DL fanning nine and giving up just three hits and one run as the Reds beat Colorado 8-1 on Saturday.

RotoTimes.com: Pretty darn nice way to make your first start of 2010. The Rockies have been hitting the ball pretty well, but Volquez shut them down. He was hitting 97 miles per hour consistently in rehab duty, and it translated well to the Majors giving him a 1-0 record.

Edinson Volquez will make his first 2010 start on Saturday, according to USA Today.

RotoTimes.com: Volquez was activated from the 60-day DL on Saturday and will make his season debut against the Rockies. He had a 1.96 ERA in four rehab starts and has consistently hit his marks at 97 miles per hour. Own him.

Edinson Volquez (elbow) has been throwing 97 miles per hour in his rehab work, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Out since June of 2009, he is scheduled to start on Saturday against the Rockies.

RotoTimes.com: He's not only throwing 97, but apparently having little trouble spotting it. A scary thought for the rest of baseball. Stay tuned.

Edinson Volquez (elbow) will be back in the Reds' rotation after the All-Star break, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

RotoTimes.com: It's yet to be determined what day he'll pitch on, but he will indeed be starting one of the Reds' first five games after the break. Now is the time to pick him up if he's still available in your league.
