As expected, Travis Buck has been optioned to Triple-A Sacramento.

RotoTimes.com: Hitting just .167 through 42 at-bats this season, his demotion was inevitable. He's been replaced on the roster by Matt Carson.

According to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle, Travis Buck is expected to be optioned to Triple-A Sacramento before Tuesday's game.

RotoTimes.com: Although fans would like to see power prospect Chris Carter get another shot at the big league level, it's likely that Matt Carson or Matt Watson will get the nod. Still, this isn't official yet, so stay tuned.

The A's activated Travis Buck from the 60-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Sacramento, according to Bailey Stephens of MLB.com.

RotoTimes.com: Buck has been rehabbing with Sacramento and will remain with them until he's needed in the bigs which will likely happen by early September. He's been on the DL since April with an oblique injury.

Travis Buck (oblique) is nearly ready to return to the A's, according to MLB.com.

RotoTimes.com: It sounds like he's just about healthy enough to be back, though keep in mind that he's gone just 2-for-18 in five rehab games thus far. We don't see him garnering any fantasy value.
April 22, 2010
The A's have placed Travis Buck on the 15-day DL with a strained right oblique, according to Oakland's Twitter page.

RotoTimes.com: Buck is a borderline major league talent that always seems to have trouble staying healthy. Needless to say, there's no reason for any fantasy owner to retain him.
