Dodgers manager Joe Torre will no longer use Jonathan Broxton in save situations this season, according to MLB.com.

RotoTimes.com: Broxton was removed from his closing duties last month but was still closing on days that Hong-Chih Kuo was unavailable. That will no longer be the case following his meltdown on Saturday. Kenley Jansen is probably now next in the closing pecking order.

Jonathan Broxton suffered another meltdown on Saturday evening, allowing three hits and two runs in the ninth inning of Los Angeles' 5-4 loss to the Giants.

RotoTimes.com: The blown save was his sixth of the season and fourth since the All-Star break. Look for Hong-Chih Kuo to serve as L.A.'s stopper for the foreseeable future after tonight.

Joe Torre remains firm in his stance not to hand out specific roles to his relievers for the rest of the season, according to the L.A. Times.

RotoTimes.com: Broxton has pitched well since being removed from his closing gig. While he may get another save or two this season, it sounds like he won't be reinserted into the full-time closing gig at all. Hong-Chih Kuo will continue to be called upon more often than not.
August 22, 2010
After losing his job on August 12, Jonathan Broxton appears to again be the Dodgers closer. He worked a perfect ninth inning in Los Angeles' 8-5 win over the Reds on Saturday.

RotoTimes.com: Hopefully you didn't lose patience and drop him, as it never seemed that his absence from closing would be a protracted one. Hong-Chih Kuo will now return to setup duty.
August 13, 2010
Jonathan Broxton has been stripped of his closer duties, according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times.

RotoTimes.com: Hong-Chi Kuo will get first crack at replacing Broxton, who blew a save Thursday. Broxton sat for four days before last night's outing, and that may have had something to do with poor performance. There could be more to the story considering Broxton's made only eight appearances since the All-Star break.
